Catalog description: Elliptic functions, modular functions, Dedekind eta function, congruencies for the coefficients of the modular function j, Rademacher s series for the partition function, modular forms with multiplicative coefficients, Kronecker s theorem, general Dirichlet series and Bohr s equivalence theorem

Exams and Grading: Course grades are determined by homeworks (30 pts), presentations (30 pts), and a cumulative final exam (40 pts).

Homework: Course homework will be assigned every two weeks.

Presentation: Each student will be expected to present two talks during the term. The presentation can be chosen from the list in the "resources" page.
